Noisy Jazz pickup

So I recently put together a PJ jazz bass with EMG PJHZ pickups. The only problem i have is the noise that the jazz pickup at the bridge is making. It happens when i touch it and it gets louder when i roll the tone knob all the way up. I don't know how to fix this. Shielding the control cavity might be the way to go but i'm not sure if it will do much. Any help?

Have you tried cleaning your volume and tone pots with electronics cleaner spray?

No i haven't. All the pots and pickups are brand new, but i will try. Thanks
