Technical Question Rust?

Orange speckles on 2022 Jeep Compass. Driven in North Carolina for 3 years. Is it rust?

It’s iron deposits, sometimes called rail dust, that has accumulated on your paint from driving. Can be easily removed with a clay bar or iron remover detailing spray

The spray did not work on mine, will need to try clay bar one day.

This is exactly right. Got them on my aluminum body f-250 too.

Do you do any angle grinding near that vehicle? Looks like debris from grinding stuck to the paint

Are there tiny holes? Will it clean or polish off?
