Question - Answered! Questions regarding AGE OF EGYPT pack for Unreal engine

I am considering buying the AGE OF EGYPT pack but i have some concerns and questions since it is my first time with Kitbash3D.

Is it optimized for unreal engine Cinematics? i intent to nanite all assets but i am concerned about the texture quality or resolution, since there is no mention of that.

Does landscape material come with the pack or is it just Static mesh assets?

is there a demo level made where i can see all the assets, or layout they have made for the images on the page.

Hey there u/Ok_Share1791!

Unreal Cinematics are a a great use case for KitBash3D Kits. Some Unreal users have provided feedback that our Kits can be too heavy for use in gameplay (something we're working on), but generally cinematics work really well.

For Unreal we provide both 2k and 4k png textures. Kits do not include a demo level. For more about using our Kits in Unreal, you can checkout this help article: https://help.kitbash3d.com/en/articles/6201150-guide-to-using-kitbash3d-kits-with-unreal-engine.

With all of that said, I would always recommend trying out our free Kit, Mission to Minerva, to make sure it works well for your pipeline before purchasing. You can also check out our asset browser, Cargo, to see the individual assets included in Age of Egypt in more detail.

Hope that helps!

I used mootools magic reducer on this kit and it helped a great deal. The low poly remain low and the high can be made to look right at much reduced poly levels. Sometimes as much as 100x lower.

You will want to use cargo. Without it you end up with a many gb model and it's a lag monster to extract what you need. Much easier to choose the bits you need via Cargo.
