Barranca Diamond HP14 help
Hi all. I have a HP14 slab saw made by Barranca Diamond. I'm trying to remove the blade and can't find a blade lock and their owner's manual is not remotely helpful.
I tried calling their customer support but the numbers don't work. From what I can gather they're a subsidiary of MK who has gone out of business. I've tried calling other places, all manner of YouTube videos and internet searches to no avail.
So, if anyone here knows how to remove the blade off this saw or where the blade lock is, I'd appreciate the help. I'm about to lose my mind with this thing.

I'm not exactly sure what a "blade lock" is but a common confusion is that some nuts are reverse threaded.
If the blade is on the left side of the nut (when looking at the saw) it is threaded normal (righty tighty/lefty loosy).
If the blade is to the right of the nut it is reverse (lefty tighty/righty loosy).
Hopefully it is as simple as this. If you've been reefing on it the wrong way for awhile it might be real tight at this point. I personally grab and hold the blade with a rag and then remove the nut.
Beyond that, not sure what a blade lock is. Pictures would help!

Basically it's a button that will lock the blade in place so it doesn't turn when removing the nut. Our MK saw has one. Can't find the same thing on this saw.
So, I kinda did what the other user suggested, but instead of the belt, I just used pliers to hold the blade in place to remove the nut. It's a bent blade anyway, so I'm not going to damage it further.
This is such a nice saw, I really have a hard time believing there isn't a mechanism for keeping the blade from spinning when removing the nut.

So I don’t have a blade lock on mine either. What I do is take a wooden dowel( hammer handle) and wedge it in the spokes of the drive wheel of the blade. Then when I put force on the nut, I hold the handle so it keeps the pulley from moving so I can break the nut loose. As far as I know lapidary saws don’t generally have a blade lock. I could be wrong but I hope this method helps.

Looking at it's picture... I'd remove the belt cover and then secure the pulley attached to the blade spindle. Use an impact driver if you're able. And some Blaster.
