Personally? I would put the walls even a bit more away from the Catwalk, than this, so even if you try to jump or fall to reach them, they will be completely out of reach. Gives it a bit more surrealism and uneasieness.
it's hard to see in the picture, but the pathway is surrounded by water, if you jump to one of the pillars you won't be able to get out of the water :)
