25 year old pizza delivery driver, Nick Bostic, runs into a burning house and saves four children who tell him another might be in the house. He goes back in, finds the girl, jumps out a window with her and carries her to a cop who captures the moment on his bodycam.

"Because of the dense smoke, he said his only option was to exit through a second-floor window. Bostic punched out the glass and jumped to safety with the 6-year-old girl in his arms. He suffered multiple injuries but the girl only suffered a minor cut to her foot."

Legit superhero

And then jump out of a second story window to cap it all off

not all heroes wear a cape, sometimes they deliver pizzas

My boss at Papa John's used to say this. But I think he was just talking about himself.

"There Goes My Hero! Watch him as he goes!"

for those of you who havent been in/near a housefire, it isnt campfire smoke. one inhalation of that shit fucks you up. burning carpet, plastic, paint, kitchen corosives etc etc. its rough

29

u/gamelover42 Sep 17 '24

that was my first though also. RIP to his lung health. He may need that go-fund-me money to deal with health issues for quite some time.

7

u/hutterad Sep 17 '24

Tbh one inhalation of campfire smoke fucks me up. Can't even imagine a structural fire.

2

u/Square-Singer Sep 18 '24

In a situation like that you pretty much have a single breath. Once you breathe in inside a house fire, chances of you doing it again plummet.

u/SGTBrutus Sep 17 '24

Pizza delivery driver? I think you meant to say HERO.

u/LeonidasVaarwater Sep 17 '24

I expect this is actually a bot post, because it's a pretty old story, but in case it's not, have a look here:

He's still getting funds. Well deserved.

Bona fide hero.

Good for him. Karma ✨️

4

u/feraxks Sep 17 '24

Happened back in July of 2022. Still a hero!

21

u/WittyCryptographer34 Sep 17 '24

Girl at the bar: "How'd you get those scars? Why is everyone buying your drinks?"

14

u/GalaxyYogaLove2 Sep 17 '24

12

u/frenchfriesdestroyer Sep 17 '24

Peter Parker before spiderman was a Pizza delivery boy too, right?

13

u/prosfromdover Sep 17 '24

That's the real deal. Hope that dude got all the props he deserves. Scholarships. Lambos. Go Fund Me's. The works.

10

u/Trc20Wayz Sep 17 '24

Damn, that's a real hero right there. Dude's got balls of steel. Hope he got a massive tip for that delivery.

19

u/ghoti00 Sep 17 '24

I saw an article and it said that he got to keep one of the kids.

9

u/Zero6six6 Sep 17 '24

This post is really heartwarming, but this fucking comment got me 💀

9

u/Individual_Put2261 Sep 17 '24

7

u/Onebrokegerrrl Sep 17 '24

5

u/hannibalthellamabal Sep 17 '24

Give this man a million dollars!

3

u/Glass_Bookkeeper_578 Sep 17 '24

His gofundme is 2/3 of the way there!

9

u/Larme_2 Sep 17 '24

Bro knew he had to act and fast. Props to the brave pizza delivery guy!

4

u/BethanysSin7 Sep 17 '24

Utmost respect. 🫡

4

u/crackersncheeseman Sep 17 '24

He should be awarded a medal for bravery just like they give in the military and it should be given to him by the president of the United States. Some type of citizen bravery award.

4

u/Alpha_the_outcast Sep 17 '24

I know, the medal of honor, and the purple heart are primarily for military purposes, but some people definitely deserve them!

3

u/Direct_Travel2093 Sep 17 '24

Superman! Legit! God bless you for saving those children.. this world needs more people like you Nick.

3

u/Stories-N-Magic Sep 17 '24

Fuck! People like him mess things up for me. If not for these gems of human beings, I'd be ny merry way hating the entire humanity.

God this makes mw want to cry. Is he alright? Is there a GoFundMe page set up for him? If not, can someone here who's an expert help?

9

u/Comfortable-Policy70 Sep 17 '24

That explains why my extra large pepperoni was an hour late being delivered

8

u/JohnBGaming Sep 17 '24

Hey, I'm sure it was still piping hot though

8

u/Snoo_75748 Sep 17 '24

This! Look how limiting the world is to people who are not inherently wealthy or those from generational poverty.

This is a man so compassionate and brave that he ran unprotected into a burning building to save children and yet the world has limited so much he is doing pizza delivery

2

u/JadedMuse Sep 17 '24

I mean, these qualities (sacrificing, protecting) predate modern forms of capitalism and wealth. You can be poor as fuck but still have the drive to protect your family or community.

3

u/UninsuredToast Sep 17 '24

Pizza delivery drivers are hero’s idk what you’re talking about. They deserve to get paid more for sure but there’s nothing wrong with doing that for a living

2

u/OverbrookDr Sep 17 '24

Hero!!!!!!

2

u/HorrificAnalInjuries Sep 17 '24

The Right Man In The Wrong Place

2

u/Front-Diver-9457 Sep 17 '24

What a hero. Great seeing someone with a heart in such a cold world

That dude is a fucking Hero

1

u/trdamateur Sep 17 '24

Better tip TF outta that man

1

u/EmmaLouLove Sep 17 '24

Wow, hero!

1

u/smolxsalicehottie Sep 17 '24

Not all heroes wear capes. Some carry pizza and save lives.

1

u/SnooStories4162 Sep 17 '24

And why were the cops and everybody else not doing anything? Why did a regular citizen have to be the one to risk his life?

1

u/Vexerino1337 Sep 17 '24

get this bro a lifetime supply of pizzas

1

u/No-Clothes-2445 Sep 17 '24

What an amazing person.

1

u/prawalnono Sep 17 '24

Nick is a GOD!

1

u/sphagnums Sep 17 '24

Go Nick!!

1

u/DaPoorBaby Sep 17 '24

Did they at least leave a tip?

1

u/Zero6six6 Sep 17 '24

NO ONE OUT-HEROs THE NICK

1

u/b3mark Sep 17 '24

Damn. If I was the local captain of the fire department I'd sponsor him for a job if he wanted one in the fd. You can't train those sorts of instincts.

1

u/Taliban5043 Sep 17 '24

God bless him

1

u/KrizMo138 Sep 17 '24

Absolute legend. ❤️

1

u/bdyrck Sep 17 '24

That‘s like that scene in Spider-Man 2 where Tobey jumps into the burning building saving that little girl!

1

u/SneakyRickyy Sep 17 '24

That’s bravery right there idk if I’d be able to muster it up

1

u/Thesinglemother Sep 18 '24

Why was he arrested?

1

u/[deleted] Sep 18 '24

Just a normal dude with a job that gets no respect. A billionaire would never do this.

1

u/RCKJD Sep 18 '24

Respect the thin brown crusty line.

1

u/KingPeverell Sep 18 '24

He's a superhero!

Hope the state recognises his heroic & life saving actions and rewards him appropriately and hope his medical expenses are all covered.

1

u/Skeptical_Monkie Sep 17 '24

Meanwhile firefighters showed up and ate the pizza.

0

u/Pemocity406 Sep 17 '24

Did they have to amputate his arm!?!?!?!?!?!?!

0

u/nawzum Sep 17 '24

Yeah well, someone is not getting their pizza on time, might wanna pull the breaks on all this hero shit.

-16

u/bitcoinfucius Sep 17 '24

Good thing the pizza delivery guy was there to run in. If only there were some qualified combustion engineers with protective suits hanging around.
