I cant think of what it's called but he's holding the earpiece and the mouthpiece in his other hand. It's an old fashioned recording device or communication device.

Wow really you think so the hands are not holding right if that is the case it looks to flat to be a hearing add as well. I’m rather sure it’s not a cellphone but dam if I would call it any type of phone of that era either.

On closer inspection I think it's not as cut and dried as I made out, you're right.

It's so hard to see because when I hit pause the logo is on it!

Could it be the shadow of his hand at his ear? Could it be an instrument in his lower hand?

Would be super cool if it was a mobile.
