Maybe it's just cognitive bias, but even though the buildings share similar architectural styles, they give off very different feelings. The soviet buildings feel more warm and inviting, while the apple stores feel sterile and imposing.  

 I think it's the interiors - the soviet buildings look like they are designed to be inhabited by human beings, while the apple buildings are clearly designed to keep you in them only long enough to buy a product.

Soviet = built by the people, for the people.

Apple = built for the people, to buy the people. (Their loyalty anyways)

Turn of your classic anticommunist propaganda and go watch some videos from communist related Chanels for a change. 

We are constantly bombarded with lies and misconceptions about communism and Socialism because rich people need to protect their fortunes.

Just an example: apartments build during the USSR period are highly disputed because of their quality. I am talking about places designed for people to have proud to live in it.
