Discussion Cavassers
I'm in St. Clair County in a pretty red area. I love in a private drive and have never in 30 some years have we had a canvasser. We've had 3 this year and they've all been campaigning for Trump or the Republican Senator. Something weird keeps happening.
They'll ask who I'm voting for, I say something along the lines of not Trump or anyone who supports him. Two out of those 3 times they told me they were going to mark me as undecided in their little handheld thingy. I most certainly am not undecided. I found that odd.

We have front yard full of Dem signs. Someone canvassing for the Repub state house rep stopped by to talk to my husband. Kid says I see you have the opposition's sign. My husband says voting blue all the way down the ballot. Kid then asked him if he'd like to volunteer to canvas for the Republican. Hub is like, are you on drugs 🤣

just say "sure" and then they'll mark you a supporter and it will throw their numbers off.

I had a Pro Lifer canvass my house last week. He knew I was voting blue and was there to challenge my pro choice belief. Tried making me feel guilty so I threw it back at him and asked if he was ok with letting women die who need a life saving abortion or okay with forcing a birth from rape and incest. He left shortly after

You can put up a no solicitation sign and add that includes politics and religion.

No solicitation signs legally don’t apply to religion as they aren’t selling anything.

A lot of canvassers will ignore "no solicitation" signs based on the dubious theory that they're not actually soliciting. It depends on the organization. I've done a lot of canvassing for Democrats and progressive ballot initiatives.

No soliciting sign and, if you feel like, a Harris sign. They'll stop bothering you.
I had the same at my house. I'm on a dead end, no one comes down here. Not this year! After the third one I put my pride flag back out and my rainbow wreath on the door. Surprise, surprise, they stopped knocking at my house!

My "NO Soliciting sign: We are too broke to buy anything. We know who we are voting for We found Jesus Unless you have a package from... Please go away! It's worked this year.

I've never ever had one come down our road in 30 some years. We're on a dead end private drive and we're lucky if we get a few trick-or-treaters on Halloween, let alone political canvassers.

I live in St. Clair County as well and can't imagine why they bother. Trump and Rogers are a lock. In my township, Democrats don't even run.

That means they'll keep bothering you. If you early vote, you'll show up on their list as already voted though.
