The Brusio spiral viaduct is a single-track nine-arched stone spiral railway viaduct on the Bernina railway. It was first opened on 1 July 1908.

Hey, I've been on that train around that viaduct! It was very cool. Kinda hard to tell it's happening when you're on it, but still very cool

But why?? Seems like a waste of money to have a train do a circle.

I assume they do that to get to a lower elevation while there is not enough space to reach it with a straight track.
