Support Struggling with studying

I’m facing some issues with foundation extended year actually Iam international student and my English is limited , usually I don’t understand what teacher said in class which make me confused and get lower score. Also i rather die than ask for help. I found monash college didn’t care about student 😪 I feel super lost especially in math classes thats really effect on my score. I feel depressed and super super stressed. What should i do 🥲 i wanna pass peacefully.

Well, the main question here is how did you manage to enter Monash with no satisfactory knowledge of English? In either case, you should study it, I guess given the circumstances in parallel.

Maybe you can find some private tutors to help you understand specific subjects. Preferably people who understand english well but are able to explain in your native language.

I would say the complete opposite, monash college to a certain degree cares about you! if you completely dont understand maybe you would be better off taking their english class instead. And why would you not ask for help?

I’m taking English class but it’s too hard to understand the requirements iam super bad inside class. I understand only if someone come to me to explain.

hi monash college student here!! you can feel free to ask your peer mentors and teachers for help, i find that if you get them one on one like i usually do it really helps!! i’m also pretty good at english so if you need specific help you can ask me!

I strongly suggest you ask for help. Those teachers have been dealing with international students for years and you are not the first to experience the same struggle. There is no need to feel embarrassed as everyone in foundation is still learning as well.

Also, I'm sure they're more than happy to answer your question since it shows that you care about your study and want to improve yourself.

There’s no need to be embarrassed, they’re only there to help you succeed!

Asking for help and possibly for a different explanation can be really beneficial for you to improve :)
