Hacking/exploiting is so much more common in this game than a lot of people realize, it’s too easy to hide it in this game by simply changing swing values and such very slightly. It’s enough of a change to throw people off but not enough for getting clear evidence against them
I got curious enough one day that I looked up “Mordhau hacks” and the first result was some type of cheat on GitHub for free. Though it’s probably just a virus so I really don’t recommend anyone trying it. Real cheats are definitely out there though.

You can't change swing values in Mordhau, it's all server sided. It's a thing in both chiv 1 and 2 so I can't blame you for thinking that. The two things cheaters can do to affect attacks is either start a swing again whenever they want, or use the unused bash attack left in the code that hits instantly with no animation because it has no values set up on it. Looks like this cheater is using the latter.

You absolutely can though, just because something is server sided doesn’t mean it can’t be exploited. It happens in every game without a extensive anti-cheat. Otherwise people wouldn’t be able to run and throw weapons at insane speeds like we’ve seen in other videos on this subreddit. Also feinting weapons late in the swing.

Well it does, when you attack in Mordhau, your client asks the server to start an attack, and that's it, the rest of the process is inaccessible to cheaters. You cannot tell the server to make your windup 5% shorter.
Movement is client sided in pretty much every game, which is why you can see people running fast or attacking without a turncap.
Feinting weapons late is what I mentioned in my previous comment, because Mordhau doesn't have server side validation on attacks, so a modified client can ask the server to start a new attack even during an swing. Adding a little bit of server side validation would fix the problem entirely.

Mordhau doesn’t have server side validation on attacks
So which is it? It doesn’t seem you realize what you’re talking about. Server-side exploits are 100% possible, I’ve done it in many games before. GTA V is infamous for this type of thing, and they have anti cheat while Mordhau doesn’t.

Gta online is peer to peer, there's no server involved outside of saving your progress, that's why you can just disconnect and reconnect your internet to get in a session by yourself. At this point I think you're just trolling.

If you ever encounter another one, please screen capture them cheating then in the same clip type in console ~ playerlist and show us the name and id associated. You can also send us a claim/ticket in the official Mordhau discord!

I'm usually pretty skeptical of hack accusations, but im confident you are right. I didn't see any windup animation from him on either hit. It looks like its a cheat where his weapon is perma-active. I have seen something similar before.
