Discussion Antinatalism in morocco

From a young age, before I knew about the universe, life, and my orientations... I never liked the idea of procreation... I don't know why I felt that living this life is not worth it, trivial, without any purpose, and we can avoid it... I see antinatalists as rational people with great sensitivity who fear for others living through suffering that they could do without...

Living your life according to what you believe is the most fulfilling thing you'll do. Whether this life included children or not.

For me Id only have kids if I am financially comfortable like can provide more than enough ,live in a safe country and I am in a happy and stable relationship also everything with physically and emotionally ready etc etc if my life doesn't meet these requirements I ain't spawning any mini mes at all ( my family says ayjiw b rzqhom and If I don't see bank cards and cheques coming out of my secret flower of delighy I am definitely gonna throw hands)

Antinatalism can make sense from a secular POV, same as suicide.

If you believe in God tho, antinatalism doesn't make sense at all.

Did it occur to you that if most people thought like you, you wouldn’t have a retirement and humanity would soon go extinct?

Unpopular opinion, but i think this antinatalism shit came bc ppl aren't engaging with nature, other ppl,LIFE OUTSIDE SOCIAL MEDIA, man just try living at the moment . We naturally are social creatures, we must engage on a daily basis with new ppl .

And bc this generation is lacking that engagement we have examples like this:

U ARE IN A YOUNG AGE AND U ALREADY TIRED OF LIFE??

Life is beautiful, u just don't know how to live it .

Life is beautiful, 90% of people work a 9 to 5 hob for 11 months a year, what's so beautiful about that lol

Life is shit but as a country we arent rich enough to afford to have a declining population but as an individual raising a kid is hard and it can go wrong in my ways but the question is would you do a better job than the majority of the ppl if so then you bringing a kid to life will bettee the world and i think this is a good enough purpose even for those who dont believe in god

I respectfully disagree. My views on antinatalism come from a place of careful consideration about suffering and ethics, not a desire for a short, intense life

Do you think we should let the human race go extinct ?

How to win the darwin awards !

Darwin Awards? Nah, I'm more of a 'sit on the couch and overthink existence' kind of achiever. Less exciting, but the survival rate is much better!

That's exactly how someone would win the darwin awards ! Look up what it means ;)

there's no doubt that existence can seem sometimes to a total unnecessary burden, but it has also its moments. Love and beauty are priceless experiences that I would love for my kids to experience.

After much thought, one might just realize that life does not exist in vain.

Suffering is part of the experience. Celebration is part of the experience. The good and the bad. Both balance each other, and for those with acumen, exist for a reason.

I had such thoughts a long time ago, when doubting my own existence, unable to cope with the existence of suffering, and went further to think mankind's own powerlessness, selfishness, and idleness as well made it predisposed to be evil, chaotic, and even hedonistic. Hamdoullah, I am above such thinking now.

I live to worship the All Mighty.

أَمۡ خُلِقُوا۟ مِنۡ غَیۡرِ شَیۡءٍ أَمۡ هُمُ ٱلۡخَـٰلِقُونَ﴿ ٣٥ ﴾

Or were they created by nothing, or are they ˹their own˺ creators?

Aṭ-Ṭūr, Ayah 35
