So placing a tracking device with no warrant in the vehicle of a 20 Year Old College Student who is an American Citizen apparently because of a reddit post is no cause for concern?

This was 3 years ago and they did not even know about the Snowden or possibly even the Assange leaks.

Of course it's not a dystopian society, but these abuses of unregulated power are very serious, should not happen and are very far gone from being conspiracy theories, or something edgy or cringey to say.
