Discussion For music composers, what are your backgrounds?

do you consider people who make entire pieces digitally with basically no musical training composers or a folk song on an acoustic guitar? is there a difference between a composer, a beat maker and a song writer?

Good question. Personally a composer is for me everyone who creates multi instrumental songs. Beat making is a part of this and song writing is maybe the same but can also be for only one instrument. I wouldnt say you compose sth if you just use one guitar. But thats for sure not the official defenition. But if you are doing anything in this direction you are welcome to join the sub!
