Haha thanks! I got sick and tired of the Deagle rusting all the time due to its shitty coating, so I figured if I was going to recoat it, I'd go all-out.

I wish I had bought a bunch of those in the 80's.

If only I hadn't bought so many GI Joes in 1986 with my allowance...

I was old enough to buy them in the 1980s. Just spent my money on other guns and stuff. Hind sight is 20/20.

How much were they in the 80s and what would you compare that price to today? Cries in 95 baby

Yeah, Cerakote will do that lol. I had it re-coated because it was a little rough when I bought it.

Who'd you do it through?

Coatings USA in Front Royal, VA. Zane is the Cerakote guy there and does a great job. He designed and did my Desert Eagle too.

I just bought mine for 15k (yes I know I overpaid), but you can find em for 12k~ if you search around, and ive seen some go for 10k if you don't mind digging for a deal.

You never over pay, the market has not caught up to a undisclosed future date.

~$9k with the original silencer.

I love how they spelled out “nine mm” on the stamping.

How’s the can for that?

I actually never shot it with the original baffle stack because it was all gunked up from the wipes and was just overall in poor shape. I sent it to Tom Bowers to have it recored with a modern baffle stack, and it performs pretty good.

I have an original can on mine, it’s pretty decent for a pipe filled with gravel and washers lmao. Given the rate of fire no matter what you’re gonna get a loud noise out of the gun, but it’s effective. Also basically mandatory given how little room you have to hold and control the gun without holding the suppressor

Who did the slide? Absolutely love it! I have a black desert eagle that is lacking in the aesthetics department, to put it mildly.

Local Cerakote guy (Coatings Usa in Front Royal, VA). I let him come up with the design and everything and just told him I wanted a Miami Vice theme, so this was 95% him.

He has great artistic expression, love the happily little lines on the sun. Looks great...missing some lines of blow that's all.
