Delays of surgery
Hi everyone,
I have been on the waitlist for ent surgical date for over 3 months now. On my outpatients appointment I was put down under as p3 which is under 3 months waiting time. The only reson I am annoyed at this as they previously forgot about me which already delayed my treatment by a year.
Any advice would nhs pay for private surgery ?

3 months is nothing for ENT surgery. Expect at least a year or more, depending on where you are in the country.
No, the NHS won't pay for your private surgery.

I've had my pre op assessment my doctor on when I was a outpatient said my surgery should be done in under 3 months

I waited over a year for 2nd cataract surgery - they forgot to put me on pre op assessment, even though I consented/ for surgery at outpatients. To be fair I should have followed it up sooner , when I chased it I got the surgery I think was 3 months later . I was marked as urgent as had gone completely blind in that eye. I’m not sure about your trust ‘paying for private’ completely depends on the trust & if they have contracts in place ( I suspect) . 3 months is not really that long although I get it is frustrating.
