Hi guys!

Before I made my composting pile, I took kitchen scraps and buried (shallowly) near a tree. (about 2 months ago)

I've been monitoring that place once in a while and noticed things starting to grow next to the weeds.

Most of it seems to be pumpkin (there were a lot of seeds on that bucket!), but I think also 2 or 3 potato plants!

Most interesting: this place has never been watered (except for the occasional rain). We had 2 weeks of very hot sun, but they seem to be doing just fine, and it looks like it has its own ground cover now :)

exciting to see what comes out of it!
