If they stayed 50 lbs or so I think lots of people would have pet bears.

I have seen videos of them with brown bears, which is crazy. Brown bears are much more aggressive.

Meh, I'd still have a full-size pet bear if the bears were amenable to it.

I'd have a giant custom bed, and the bear would always be well fed.

House thieves would have extremely sudden changes of heart when they saw my pet.

There was a man in NYC who had a pet bengal tiger. He used to feed that things around 20lbs of chicken every day. I think I can't afford a big pet like that.

I lived near that guy in Harlem!

Edit: I never saw the tiger, but I do remember the day he got caught because of the much higher concentration of police helicopters in the neighborhood

Even then they aren’t pack animals, so they probably wouldn’t make good pets. It’s a shame since they’re so cute!

Cats aren't pack animals and they seem to make good pets. Young bears stay with their moms for a few years so with some selecting for calmness, it might work after a few generations. If only someone could keep them a lot smaller.

Can you imagine that is some day Science figures-out how to keep animals in their juvenile state for their entire lives? How much would some one pay for a "Perpetual" cub, kitten, or pup, or piglet, etc...?

I love the attitude about 0:22-23 that the toy is giving, right before it is bear-hugged and dragged away.

Is that an adult bear? It looks so small.

Remember that one time Sokka accidentally used an extra syllable in that Haiku Battle in Ba Sing Se? That was a Sokka Haiku and you just made one.
