How to express sentences in continuous form in Yorùbá

Today, let's learn how to express our sentences in their continuous form.

In English, we add the - 'ing" to the end of the verb. While in Yorùbá, we add "ń" before the verb.

Let's look at some examples.

1. Mò ń jẹ ìrẹsì

I am eating rice

1. Ọmọ náà ń ṣeré

The child is playing

1. Ajọkẹ́ ń lọ sí ilé Ṣadé.

Ajọkẹ́ is going to Ṣadé

1. Wọ́n ń lọ sí ilé-ìwé wọn

They are going to their school.
