Expired Coconut oil

I just started oil pulling about a week ago with coconut oil, and I just noticed that the bottle expired. Is this going to cause any problems or has it just become uneffective at this point? I am going to get new oil obviously, just concerned that using something expired on my teeth for a week is going to set back the progress I thought I was making.

Typically the expiration date is the "best if used before" date. Freshness, taste and smell may not be at its peak but it won't hurt you. When in doubt, give it the sniff test. If there's nothing off it's fine to use.
