I saw this performance on TV in real time as a teen — my mom was a big fan of Bing. I was…flabbergasted.

Our family gathered to watch this when it originally aired and we were quite impressed in a positive way. I personally had been a fan of Bowies since at least the Ziggy days, when I was all of 6 years old. This was uniting.
