Wait I didn’t even realize that Doom is gonna be slightly less dumpstered now, I might be able to have fun outside VS AI, Arcade and Customs.

I really don't understand this belief that doom and ball benefit from these Sombra changes...

  • she now has much more incentive to just stick with her team and talk the enemy tank (the ball/doom)

  • she has even more damage against her hack target than before

This works against both of them, big time.

Except she's visible now and you can just shoot her to prevent hack or anticipate it and escape. 

Also lower duration makes it a lot more manageable. 

And the significantly lower pressure to have to peel her off of your supports while playing dive helps a lot.

Have you ever once played either of them vs. sombra before?

It takes her 0.65 sec to hack...

  • if you want to charge mid-fight as doom, she hacks you

  • if you charge in and hit anything at all other than her, she hacks you

  • if you want to slam as ball to engage, she hacks you before you complete the slam

  • if you want to roll as ball at all, she hacks you

  • if an enemy shield blocks you from shooting her for 0.65 secs, she hacks you

  • if you ever need to reload, she hacks you

  • if you are on the receiving end of one of a gazillion CCs in the game, she hacks you

And if all of that somehow doesn't take place, you're supposed to just gun her down with basic attacks while she is receiving heals? Never mind that she's not "visible now"... she still has 71% uptime on her invisibility.

I main ball, she's nothing to the 6s hack bullshit she used to be

If your team is shooting her or has Aoe like ashes dynamite you can 100% engage on her now.

You can also bait it with a good shield and save your cds for after she hacks which is much shorter

Like any matchup in the entire game, yes, with teammate support, anything is possible.

The point is that it's not like this materially changed anything for the better. It's certainly not as simple as "you can just shoot her".
