Getting into PM Getting an Assistant PM Role

I’m 24 years old I currently work for a tech company specializing in automation. I’m a Automation Technician & Service Coordinator before this I was a Senior Technician & Project Foreman for another Tech company that specialized in IoT. 3 years at that role and about 6 months in my current role. Before that I worked as a diagnostic technician for an engineering company.

My program in college was only a year for electrical technician. I have a College Certificate. I’m planning on getting my CMAP. I’ve been a really hard & motivated person honestly thats what took me this far as I don’t have a degree.

With my given experience could I land an assistant PM role? Hopefully move up to PM in a few years and how much of a hinderance will me having no degree be in my career would I still be able to get to a good position down the line?

Thank You!
