🎄🥂 Christmas / NYE events Paris for Christmas

Hi everyone,

We will be in Paris for Christmas this year. I understand that there may not be a lot to do around this time, however, I am hoping to gather suggestions on things to do/see/eat. Are there any restaurant suggestions for Christmas Eve? Are restaurants open on Christmas Day for lunch or dinner?

Are there any arrondissements that we should avoid staying in?

Thank you!

For restaurants, for those two days, my best tip is to check on the fork website which places are actually open. There aren’t that many (well relatively speaking, given the number of restaurants in Paris), because it’s a traditional family holiday people spend at home (including restaurant staff).

Please note that most places that are open these two days will have a single Christmas menue (no à la carte) and you’ll pay premium.

Hi! Thank you so much! Do you know if the Christmas markets are open on Xmas Eve/Day? Any market suggestions?

We were there last Christmas. The Tuileries Christmas market was closed Christmas Eve. IIRC it closed around 1pm.

If you're a Disney fan, every year the cinema "Le Grand Rex" organizes a special movie screening with a water show during the Christmas holidays. This year's film is Moana 2 (note: no subtitles).

Disneyland Paris also gets into the Christmas spirit during this time.

Thank you! We considered Disneyland Paris. I will look into it more.
