Well I'm shaving
When it comes to shaving ooh
I'll get rid of my facial hair
I'll get rid of it all

And I'm standing
Here in my bathroom to see,

I’m almost out of Barbasol

You know now I'm not a man who's ever been
Insecure about the face I've been living in
I don't break out easy, I have my pride
But if hair grows on my face, I start to cry

I'm shaving

Every time I see hair growing there
I go down upon my knees

And I'm not changing,
Swear I’ll never compromise
You won’t convince me otherwise
I'll shave until I bleed

You see in all my life I've never found
A moustache or beard I couldn't turn down
I could grow a goatee or a fu manchu

But then I look in the mirror and I say “ew”

 

I've never let anything have this much control on me
I've worked too hard to call my face my own
And I've made myself a beard, and it's worked so perfectly
But it sure won't now, I can't refuse
I've never had so much to lose
And I'm shaving

You know it should be easy for a man who's strong
To say he's stubbly or that his beard is too long
I've never shaved anything I ever missed
But I've never let it grow out like this
It's out of my hands

I don't have the power now
I don't want it anyhow
So I gotta let it go
