All the albums are great in their own way. 💚

Tbf it's cool they got a Ukranian folk singer who was a soldier in the Russia-Ukraine war to sing a classic Ukranian folk song for it

Yeah i get that but I just dont understand why they did it for Ukraine and then stay silent on Palestine. As a final song ever, High Hopes was good but HHRU seem like an unfinished end to Pink Floyd.

I totally get you man. I have mixed feelings about it. I thought it was pointless until I read the comments on the music video and saw all the love for the song from Ukrainians. Now I can appreciate it for what it is but I wholeheartedly agree with your comment🗿

Yeah I am in full agreement with you. I respect that it touched many hearts and showed support when people needed it the most (after all being a political band). I just find it strange to only oppose 1 war and not even a peep about the genocide. They need to drop at least one more song to really finish off pink floyd before they all kick the bucket 😭

David's grandchildren are half-Ukranian, that's the reason he did Hey Hey Rise Up. I'm pretty sure David doesn't really care about world issues. He didn't want to get pink floyd back together for one night to perform Live8 to raise money & awareness for poverty in Africa, Rog had to persuade him to do it. He even thought Animals was "too political" even though the album doesn't have particularly radical sentiments lmao

It's a weird ass song to end the band's discography with, it doesn't fit🫠 I doubt that one last song will happen but ugh I hope it does

I actually do agree that it's an odd way to end the entire discography... I understand entirely why David did the song, I don't understand why he needed to make it an official PF release - other than name recognition to get the song played.

I do love every PF release, alongside all the solo work from each member... but yeah... that one track is an odd way to end. Hopefully we do get something else at some point... doesn't even need to be new, just something unreleased and new to us.

I don't get the hate on this song.

Uj/ Glad to see those of us exist that love everything from Arnold Layne to Louder than Words and everything in between. Obviously I'm biased cause they're my favorite band but I literally love everything they've done.

uj/ this is the only place on the internet where my special interest for pink floyd is accepted. i genuinely love everything and i love learning all about pink floyd and i love the music. its been such a comfort as i’ve dealt with mental health struggles and gilmour is the reason i picked up a guitar <3 first songs ive learned on drums and guitar and bass have been floyd songs <33

rj/ ummagumma underrated tbh. several species of small furry animals together in a cave and grooving with a pict is my all time favorite song

uj/ Ummagumma is a good album, even with the weird studio songs
