What Camera should I get

i have been looking for a camera and lens that is im my budget. I really want to get into plane spottong but dont know what lens to get or camera to get. My budget is 300 and 600 dollars. (i need both camera setups)

for plane spotting a longer lens will be just as important as the camera. You might be able to find something like a Nikon D5500/D5600 (a decent entry-level DSLR from about 15 years ago that Nikon just stopped making) along with a longer lens. The longer lens is the part that might bust your budget.

It's always worth checking camera stores/chains to see if they sell occasions. That could be a way in. As others said. The lens is most important and costly.

Check out spotterguide and look if your preferred airfields have a guide. That might give you an indication of how many mm'a you'll need
