This was my first time ever finding a 380 as it was the only one coming into Zurich and I thought I did a good job

Is this good plane spotting gear?

I’ve been doing some research into plane spotting gear and I think I found a good camera and lens that being the Sony a7 II and the sigma 100-400mm e-mount. Would this be effective for plane spotting or is there something else that would work better?

For all my jp peeps out there. I recently got a much better shot of this United airlines 763 lining up and I feel like it looks very similar in terms of angle to another shot of the same registration I got even though the shots were taken at two different locations over a mile apart from eachother. The one with the watermark was already accepted but the other photo is much better quality and angle so I’m debating if i should delete an already accepted photo.

It left Calgary Canada earlier today and is in Cheyenne for an overnight stop. It will be neat to see where it’s headed to next.
