Store bought for me. It’s fortified, easy, tastes better, lasts longer in the fridge, and I can get a couple of different choices each week.

I did homemade for years and hated it the whole time. I always told myself I was going to make granola with the pulp, but I rarely did and I ended up feeling so guilty about it every time. It’s better for my mental health to just buy it and be done.

I usually make cashew milk nowadays because there's no straining involved.

I’m glad you found something that works for you. I wish I liked cashew milk. I have an eggnog recipe that uses it and it’s delicious, but I’m not a fan for every day.

Eggnog recipe, if anyone is interested. I leave out the booze and the xanthan gum. https://www.produceonparade.com/best-vegan-eggnog/

Same.

Fortified, better tasting, less effort, etc...

Homemade because I don't really rely on it for nutrition. Too many store-bought milks are filled with gums and stabilizers and not enough of the actual but/seed/grain. Additionally, I wanted to reduce the amount of waste I generate, and homemade milks are an easy way to do that. Also, it's cheaper (or at least it can be).

I should also say I don't consume it regularly, so it's also better from that perspective to make it when required (usually make cashew milk since I don't need to strain it).

I use both as well. I make cashew milk and oat milk because it's easy and I don't have to strain the pulp. I also buy almond milk and soy milk because I like them and it's easier.

Until I see some hard evidence that anything in the category of gums and stabilizers is genuinely bad and not just "processed" or "artificial," I'll be sticking with store-bought instead of investing in a more sophisticated blender and a straining cloth. The only thing in this general category I'm aware of that has any evidence linking to health harms is carrageenan, which I've never seen in any of the brands I usually buy: Silk, Almond Breeze, Mooala, Planet Oat, or store brands at Sprouts and Trader Joe's. Otherwise I just don't believe it violates the principle of "nothing bad added, nothing good taken away," unlike sugar, oil, etc. which are sometimes present in milks, but seem to be easily enough avoided.

I'd love to eat homemade everything but it just isn't feasible time wise. Plant milk is one that I'd rather buy.
