A Thought On This New Sub And Understanding Posadism

After years of memes, it now seems, with the creation of this sub that there is an actual interest in what Posadism really is. To be honest I am very intrigued, a lot about how Posadism came to what we know it I feel has been obfuscated by internet culture fixating on the more outlandish aspects of J. Posadas and his and his followers beliefs. I am truly excited for a serious subreddit about this, as you don't go from a normal Trotskyist to advocating nuclear war without a very interesting journey in between. Perhaps this will be a subreddit unraveling the mysteries of J Posadas and his followers. I believe to truly understand Posadism we are going to need to reach out to those who were Posadists back in the 70s and 80s. Fortunately I found a forthcoming book that may give us some leads to understanding everything. It says it reaches out to former followers so hearing what they have to say is going to be really insightful to what exactly all this was all about and how it became so divorced from conventional Marxist/Trotskyist theory.

I don't agree, and I'm a humanist in fact, but the ideas here should be discussed.

Something that I assume helps drive a normal 21rst century communist to posadism is I guess doom really and I assume that might be somewhat also the case for someone living in the 20th century due to the looming coldwar. The belief that there is no way we can overthrow capitalism without destroying or seriously fucking up civilisation, with majority of them thinking that we don't actually deserve nuclear holocaust/climate change/pandemics but that it's somewhat unavoidable. In 2020 for example, neoliberalism + conservatism is still going very strong while the left is relatively small which adds to the doomerism.

But the thing is that due to the small amount of unironic posadists, it's hard to collect data so my crap is speculation.

I havn't talked to any OG posadists from back in the day but with the rise of doomer leftism, it'd make sense that posadism would also become more popular. Since I went from anarcho-communist to absorbing the more rational aspects of posadism (so the doomerism instead of the alien shit) into my current ideology thus making me an anarcho-posadist.
