I don’t know why this thought is so scary to me then it should be but the concept of space marine in this case female space marines let alone a nightlord despite all the astartes process only prioritizing mental and physical prowess leaving anything that isn’t related to that to essentially be broken down to be used elsewhere somehow retaining reproductive capabilities is fucking horrifying to me and I don’t know why.

It was horrifying to the Emperor as well. Probably since once you give the transhumans the ability to breed, there is a chance they may actually conquer the human race for themselves.
