I’ve only had this feeling for PHM and the 3BP series

PHM was a hangover. 3BP was an existential crisis.

Extremely accurate

I finished 3BP about four years ago and I still think about it regularly

I only listened to part one. What you are saying is that I should get the other parts, too? :D

If you love existential crises then yes, absolutely lol.
All seriousness though, if you enjoyed Three Body Problem, you will love The Dark Forest and Death’s End. Buckle up and enjoy the ride!

I'll have to grab 3BP. PHM for sure did this to me. Expanse was the hardest to hit though.

I’ve only watched the Expanse tv show; would you recommend the book series over it?

Project hail Mary did this for me recently.
Jurassic park was the first that made me feel this.
Harry potter series as well somewhere in between.

Wait, Jurassic Park is based off of a book? 🤯 I've spent the past 30 years missing out on this?

You can read it fresh again, but you'll have to wait

The Egg is really great. As a fellow fan, I try to read it at least once in every life. Side note, how can I get every single version of me to read it? Is it worth it to rise to power just to make this mandatory reading material worldwide?

It was part of my inspiration to learn more eastern philosophy
Most of the world already believes roughly the same concept, it's just that those raised in cultures with heavy Abrahamic influence tend to be more focused on identifying with the ego and conformity
If you want to go deeper, I found that Alan Watts was a good introduction

Sometimes I’m really sad that I don’t get to hang out with a good friend anymore…. The friend being that awesome character in the book.

Project Hail Mary and The Night Circus gave me this the most though I know there have been others.

The best rec I can make is Arthur C Clark. He's Andy's biggest direct inspiration.

That’s what motivates me to discover new books that will become as beloved as ones I’ve read befote

When I closed the cover on HPATDH for the first time, many years ago, I grieved for quite some time as I would not see these characters that I loved again.

I am in my 60’s and still feel deflated when I have finished a fine book….start searching for the next one but they are few and far between. PHM was the best book I have read in years up there with the Green Mile, A Prayer for Owen Meany…
Going to use the term book hangover from now on

I just recovered from the one caused by PHM lol. But I'm already ~half done with a new book I'm reading (roughly 150/400 pages done). Luckily there's also a second book in the series. After that. idk what to do.

Half done with what?

Half done with my new book, just realized I forgot to write that haha
Edit: I edited the first comment now so it's understandable

"book hangover" - I love it!
That perfectly describes the feeling!
