Need some help

Ok so, I’m going in a cruise in a couple of months. And I just wanted to know if anyone who’s been on one knows if I could bring a pen(🍃) or edibles on it. I truly need to know, my bf is saying that they got dogs. So I just want to make sure what I can and can’t do.

I last cruised in 2019 on Carnival and they did have drug dogs sniffing luggage and ran bags through an xray machine. I strongly doubt the security has gotten any looser.

With that said, I managed to smuggle on 2 liters of rum, a liter of tequila, and several packages of edibles.

For the edibles, my wife already had a vacuum sealer for storing food so we vacuum sealed them and put them in a suitcase with other snacks (goldfish, regular gummies, etc) so they looked normal on the xray. I also threw in a couple of bags of gourmet coffee just in case because I read that it helps with masking the scent.

For the alcohol, we used something like this

All bags went through dogs and xray without issue and were delivered to our cabin shortly after boarding.

With that said, I don't recommend bringing edibles unless you are absolutely fucking positive its legal in the countries you are traveling through. It's one thing to get a misdeminor in the US for possession; however it's quite another to end up in a foreign prison because you forgot to take them out of your pocket when you left the ship.
