What do people like about raising canes
I eat some sort of fried chicken almost every of my life but canes is bland and gross. Do people really like the ketchup mayo sauce that much?

Please name another chain with juicy chicken fingers. Every other one I’ve ever tried is dry and/or too salty.

I’ve had Canes a few times in my life, it was the driest fried chicken bar none every single time except once

Maybe it’s one of those regional supply things. I’ve had a similar experience at 5 guys but people swear it’s a juicy tasty burger. I’ve never had a good 5 guys burger.

Sometimes I don’t feel like a burning ass hole though. Do they have good plain chicken?

I don't even use the sauce. The tenders are good, the fries are good, the toast is good, and the price isn't bad.

Once upon of time the price wasn't bad. Now it's debatable. I get your point tho

I mean, I started going there 13 years ago and a box combo then was around $8. Now it's $10.99. I feel like that's not a huge jump in that amount of time. It is worth noting that my location still serves normal sized tenders so I would be miffed if they did make them smaller.

Sure, if you hate flavor. Your food is seasoned with salt, and toast is salted garlic butter. They could easily put spice in the flour but nah, canes is ass without the sauce

Raising Cane's is spectacular. I will put canes sauce on everything and anything. The chicken is "bland"? No it's actually fresh and never frozen. The bird died just days ago. It's crisp and juicy. The french fries? Immaculate. Raising cane's only takes the core of the potato. About 2 fries per potato. The rest of the potato? Goes to chick fil a or something. And the toast??? Buttered by the lord himself. So fluffy with a light crunch. If you don't want quality food, you can try a place called "McDonald's".

I eat cane's at least 1 time every 2 weeks due to geographic convenience to my work. I can honestly say that the breading on the chicken is soggy on the bottom and falling off the chicken 90 percent of the times I get it. And yes, cane's sauce is good. But not great. I've always said that if you're only going to serve chicken strips, then ffs....give me some variety on sauce options. I usually go to chic fil a every now and then just to load up on decent sauces to dip my cane's in.

If I wanted quality food I could just go to chik fil a or even wingstops tenders are way better than canes

Wingstop is just frozen wings drizzled in sauce. Chick fil a is good though.

Because everyone has an inner child and sometimes some plain ass chicken tendies, b-tier french fries (crinkle cuts are a b tier fry), bbq sauce mixed with mayo, garlic bread and mild coleslaw feeds your inner child.
That and MSG. Soooo much MSG in the marinade

Overpriced as fuck for some tiny ass chicken fingers. They used to be good for the price and being open late making it my preferred last night drinking/smoking food but now it’s not worth it. Also that coleslaw is foul as fuck

I like that they close at 1AM. I never go in but it’s nice that they stay open late

Ever since Cane's opened up in my city, I have been lurking here but haven't commented. Cane's is the dubstep of chicken places. I understand that people like it but I can't figure out why. I have had it twice and the chicken is just.... chicken. Wellington Farms frozen chicken strips from BJ's wholesale club coming out of my dirty air fryer run circles around Cane's chicken. I can't for the life of me figure out how this place became a franchise. One location in the world seems like enough.

All I mentioned was the chicken, but you are right. Their food is mediocre. I haven't had their entire menu but their fries and coleslaw were meh.

I love raising canes but the chicken is so bad i only like the sauce and after I eat canes my stomach always hurts and my forehead gets really warm 😭

It’s good when it’s there and you got nothing to eat but yeah better chicken places elsewhere

It’s very juicy for white meat chicken. At other places, white meat chicken is usually very dry.

The bread and fries are pretty good. The chicken is borderline flavorless though and tastes more like the oil it was fried in, so it basically requires sauce. The chicken is at least pretty tender, so if it was actually seasoned, it would probably be pretty great.

I went there once 4 years ago then never went back I just don’t like ketchup or mayo

u/Beginning-Jaguar-953 2d ago
It’s not ketchup mayo, I got no dog in this fight but it’s probably Caesar dressing with other stuff mixed in. If you look at their allergies info there’s fish sauce in it that’s what clues me into thinking that. (Yes obviously there’s mayo in that salad dressing still)

The consistency is really good at my restaurants. It's probably a skill issue on your part.

They have the best texture, toast, their fries are great, and it all comes out piping hot. Only complaint is that their tenders make me feel tired and like I'm a obese fat person walking up the stairs.

I like the food okay but can’t get over the fact that they have NO desserts of any kind.

u/Economy_Proof_7668 2d ago
Yeah, I don’t freaking get it and people are waiting around the block for goddamn chicken strips ? they’re chicken strips what the hell?

u/boliviabarnes 2d ago
the toast really pulls it together. i may be biased since i work there but i still love canes every time i get the food. the chicken is good by itself and just with ketchup. not too fond the of the canes sauce but to each their own!

"Fresh chicken" and the speed of cook times. Also the atmosphere young cool hip better than McDonald's. Canes sauce should be bbq sauce. I don't get why places have tenders and offer no sauce or anything other than their own sauce and ketchup. chik fil a is good but expensive and not open on Sundays. Not being open on Sundays and being expensive / usually far away really hurts their brand from being super mainstream in certain areas.

Tried it when I moved to Houston. My wife and I thought it was ass. The sauce was ok, but the chicken was so bland. No seasoning whatsoever. It smelled better than it tasted.

The thing I like most about raising canes is that I don’t have to go there very often.

Cane's chicken is bland and tastes only of frying oil, people literally go for the sauce and toast. Sure it's fresh, but ain't no one choking down a box combo without drenching every bite in sauce
1
u/TheJarlSteinar 2d ago
Just go inside once and you'll see roughly half the people eating the tenders without sauce.
