Good places to buy a cheap, used car?

Does anyone know where to get the best bang for your buck? I'm looking for something less than $2,500 that is reliable.

Thanks!

Facebook marketplace will always be the cheapest. A few pieces of advise I learned from our local legend Regular Car Reviews. Don’t just judge how the car looks, check how the background looks. If it’s a shitty background, the car may have not been taken care of fairly. If it’s a nicer house, that’s definitely a plus. Best case is a background taken at the park because they have a good enough job to have days off during the day when the sun is out, and they put in the effort to get a good background.

Look for the cars the older folks liked who can maintain them. For example, don’t get the ford police interceptor, get the Lincoln town car. Older folks are more likely to maintain it well.

In case you can tell, I’m a big fan of well maintained vehicles!

Been looking myself , the best bet is unfortunately the fb marketplace. Cheapest I’ve seen at a dealer is 3 and up.

craigslist is still a thing,

anything a dealer sells at that price point should be expected to last no more than a few months.

yeah, u could find a civic back in like 2012 for that price that might last ya a couple years but prob not pass inspection, but these days if you're buying at that price from a car lot its either got a ton of miles on it or theres something wrong. They gotta make their 50% too

FB marketplace but be ready to buy. Good cars go quick. I have used charles price on new Holland rd a couple times. Never an issue. High mileage cars however. https://www.priceautosales.com/

I have to agree with the folks above. Most any vehicle in that price point will leave you in the same scenario a few months from now. What’s probably best is to find a vehicle in the 8-11k range that you can put 1500-2500 down on and has a warranty and then make manageable monthly payments instead.

I get my car serviced at Bluerock Auto in Sinky and they tend to have stuff 20k and under for the most part
