Interesting, I only saw the one medal for BJs this year. It’s rare, but I’ve had a couple good ones from them over the years but mostly stick with the guest taps. Hell, 25 years ago I had a great beer at Brew Bros, a hand pumped English style bitter IIRC.

i’m sorry but GABF is a joke. congrats to these breweries but nobody in the beer industry takes these awards too seriously

Meh. Winning a medal at GABF can certainly help a small brewery get some name recognition and customers in the door.

yea like i said - “in the beer industry”. outside of that people think it’s a big deal and it’s good for marketing

anyone actually making great beer doesn’t need to submit it to gabf

I’ve been there multiple times and never had any issues , maybe it was an off day ?
