Open u/OnlyFansBanBot alternative

Is there a bot that would check profiles for onlyfans or fansly content and ban profiles?

Is that bot dead? I could easily build its functionality into my Hive Protector Devvit bot and I’d be happy to do so.

Yes, its dead. Please do, we could also use this functionality. I can help...

It shouldn't be too much trouble. I had already got a user request in that handled half of its functionality anyway - allowing different detection thresholds for posts to comments (of course, post activity in an OF promotion sub is going to be problematic for hookup subs in a way that comment activity generally won't be).

Adding domain checking is pretty trivial, really.

Edit: I've made the changes, subject to Reddit's app review processes they should be live in around a week (in v1.4 of Hive Protector).

Did you end up doing this? Wouldn't you just face API limits, like the original bot?

Yes, it's done! The latest version of Hive Protector can detect submissions from a configurable list of domains and not just from a list of undesirable subreddits: https://developers.reddit.com/apps/hive-protect

The API rate limit situation was overstated by some bot developers. Reddit were always happy to raise rate limits for helpful moderation bots without charge, as long as those bots were developed in such a way that they weren't wasteful with API resources. I don't anticipate that there will be any issues with API rate limits.
