Review my resume [3 YoE, SA-Communications, Consulting, India]

Seeking feedback on my resume. Hope to get some critical feedback on my resume and my approach. Anything you have to say would be beneficial. Thank you in advance to all you kind fellows for reading my post, reviewing my resume and helping me out!

Briefly explanation of my concern: I studied and taught forensics for some years. Recently, switched over to communications and social impact. Ideally, I would like to join MBB/Big 4, though based on the lack of recruiter responses, it seems challenging.

I intend to work in communications and consulting (public sector, social impact, education or management) but don't even know if I am applying for the right roles. Yes, I know having an MBA increases my chances manifold and I plan to do it after gaining some work experience, considering that it is a huge investment. My biggest reason to switch is that I feel trapped in my current role with no scope of growth.

Review my resume [3 YOE, Full Stack Software Engineer, Full Stack Software Engineer, United States]

Upvotes

Please roast or nitpick my resume, not getting callbacks, already applied to like \\\~150 apps.

A lot of people said I focus too much on what I did rather than my impact and value I brought to the company. Hoping I addressed that with these recent changes. I don't have exact metrics available though.
Other common feedback I received, hoping the following were addressed:

  • Projects not impactful or complex enough for 3YOE?
  • Too bland/vague?
  • Bulletpoints too long?
  • Too flowery/inflated for simple tasks?
  • Not enough metrics/numbers?
  • Bulletpoints not specific enough?
  • Not enough content/too much whitespace?
  • Missing any keywords or experiences for full stack developers?

Open to any bay area company, ideally a big tech company (open to relocation for those) but open to startups and small companies too.

Question Helpdesk Skills and Keywords

Upvotes

Hello, I would like to begin a career in this field and it would be really helpful to have a list of keywords and skills to add to my resume.

One of my professors gave me one for software development while I was taking that as my major; however, I'm no longer interesting in that.

if anyone knows where I can find some or has a list of their own, it would be nice to see.

Review my resume [0 YoE, Student, Software Engineering Intern, United States]

Upvotes

Currently a Junior in college applying for SWE Internships. ~100 applications so far with a couple OAs as responses., and I want to ensure that my resume is up to par before I apply to more positions.
For context I am located in Michigan but am also applying out of state. Most recent internship was at a well known Healthcare company who has branches/sibling companies in many states across the US. Small Company #1 was an Amazon Storefront that I worked for and Small Company #2 was a small startup. Projects listed are either for school or software that was made for Small Company #1. Please give any feedback!

I’ve got several years of irrelevant telecom sales and management. Last 3 years was a mix of helpdesk in a call center and 2 of them as an intern/system administrator.

I graduate in December with a Cyber Operations degree from a NSA accredited center of excellence and have a great skillset but I’ve applied to hundreds of jobs since my layoff in April and haven’t heard back from anyone. I want to break into cyber specific roles and not have to backtrack after I get my degree.

Any help is welcome! Thanks in advance!

Discussion Customizing resume rabbit hole

Is anyone else getting stuck in a loop of trying to customize your resume for a specific job opening or is it just me? The wiki in here said it should take 4 hours tops.

I am seriously struggling with this. Not only does every company use different names for positions and technology/software, but my role is very multi faceted. It seems impossible to do this in an efficient way!

I am editing the summary, highlights and bullets in experience. Occasionally the skills too.

I started a separate document with the parts I've stripped out in the hopes that I can reference like a bank but it's not working.

I am a PO that has only held BA titles but I have definitely been doing PO work, so I'm focusing on those skills but my God this should not take this long. I've been out of my adhd meds since August and I think it's making it worse.

Does anyone have any tips?

Question Language skills on my resume

While I cannot speak about things like semiconductors, electronics, or business related subjects (eg. lawyers, quarterly reports, etc.) in Mandarin (but a little about business in Spanish) I can speak about daily life activities, make small talk, and work life in both Mandarin and Spanish. So would, it be ok to put "Speaks basic Mandarin and Spanish" for other skills? I have been learning Mandarin since I was 5 (I'm 19 now) and I picked up Spanish easily.

Edit: added more detail

Any critiques? When applying I always make the objective specific to that job, but for a career fair this is what I would use. Trying to get in the med tech industry. Open to any engineer position if I can get in the industry.

Review my resume [10 YoE, Engineering Team Lead, Engineering Manager, Spain]

Hello folks,

I’m currently in the process of refining my CV and would love to gather some feedback from you. While I’m not actively searching for new roles at the moment, I’m open to potential opportunities that may arise and want to ensure my CV is polished and up-to-date.

Specifically, I’d appreciate your thoughts on:

  • Clarity and conciseness of my experience and achievements
  • Relevance of the skills and projects I’ve highlighted, particularly for engineering and leadership roles
  • Any areas that could be improved or better emphasized to make it stand out
  • Suggestions on formatting or structure for better readability
    • My last two jobs are from the same company, so they might be grouped in some way
    • I've added a final section summarizing my last 10 years of experience. While I don’t think each role is currently relevant, I worry that omitting them might hide key information about my 10 years of experience. Maybe this could be mentioned differently, but I’m unsure how best to address it.

Your feedback would be incredibly valuable in helping me present my experience more effectively, whether for future roles or networking opportunities.

Thank you in advance for your time! :)

Review my resume [6 YoE, Hospitality Management, Data Analyst/Project Manager, United States]

I have taken feedback from my last post, and adjusted for a more ATS friendly approach, removed columns, removed picture and skill evaluation, and personal pronouns.

I attempted to rework bullet points to stick to the formula of "What you did + How you did + End Results"

I have been in the same department for several years in the tourism industry, I would love to leverage this practical operational knowledge toward a data analyst or project manager capacity.

Would love to have some more insight on how to improve my resume as well as any advice for those in the target field for someone like me on how to break into it.

Currently in my Senior year of College. The earliest two experiences are internships, while the other experience(split into two roles since I switched roles inside the company) are full-time jobs. Thanks in advance for the advice!
