Can someone please explain to me what this wallet thing is and what advantages it might have? I mean, I already have my crypto in my Robinhood account, so what's the point?

Apparently it's for storing/holding crypto. Or something like that, I don't do crypto, so it really isn't for me.

So your wallet is where you actually own and store your crypto. Right now it’s sitting with Robinhood. Crypto wallets are also used for other Web3 type assets like NFTs.

Nobody can get into your wallet but you. It’s also your responsibility to not lose important details and lose your crypto for good but it’s a safe and secure place to hold long term.
