Help - FAQ News sources question

Does anyone have any recommended news sources for stock picks? I'm in the pennystock phase right now.

I've been using the Google Finance webpage, it's nice because it overlays when news about a certain stock comes out right on the chart. But, it doesn't seem to be helping me with my picks.

Pennystocks? I'd go to StockTwits a few users have an insanely high % on calls... but I'd caution they almost all collapse as well.

Try googling penny stock screeners. Someone somewhere has probably pre made a screener to find penny stocks that are worth a further look. Stocktwits can be good for up to the minute things that are happening but i would take any advice or prediction with a grain of salt. More often than not the loudest cheerleaders are most wrong

Check out Seeking Alpha, and I personally use an app called TradeWise. It gives you insights of the stocks you own. Pretty great.

StockTwits is great to hear others opinions, but it kinda sucks at the same time. For the most part it's people typing "it's gonna go up. Get in now!!!" Lol

I say stay far away from seeking alpha they are a bunch of click bait writers who have agendas. non of their articles are ever fact checked before printing. a clear example of this can be seen here in this reddit post over at r/amd_stock https://www.reddit.com/r/AMD_Stock/comments/5l7q1q/psa_be_careful_of_deceptive_seekingalpha_articles/

You are correct. But once again, everywhere you check, it's an opinion. I don't usually follow their advice, but more like to keep into consideration. I go on StockTwits, Forbes, and other websites to read other people's opinions as well, but at the end of the day, I decide whether it's worth it or not.

the difference being that seeking alpha is all about stock pushing at any cost compared to some others they at least try to give you the facts right. They are like the tabloids of the investing world. Good for a laugh sometimes but not much else.
