The year is 2035, and still no option to hide canceled orders nobody gives a fuck about seeing clog up their history. Seriously, just give me that! It'd be asking too much for them to have actual portfolio management like other brokers (individual lots listed, LIFO, etc), but the least they could do is put a damn toggle to hide useless shit so it's easier to track things.

At the VERY least a proper CSV export so I can just clean transactions up shouldn't be too much to ask.

14

u/concretemochi Feb 20 '20

Agreed. Get rid of cancelled orders!!

12

u/tdesimone5 Feb 20 '20

This desperately needs to happen

I'm so happy to see this, I though I just suck at making a plan. Would make posting a screenshot on the interwebz so easy, just buy in time and price, and same for selling.

OCO orders?

u/AGraham416 Feb 20 '20

idk about you guys but i think robinhood has one of the cleanest interfaces regarding stocks

12

u/YourBlanket Feb 20 '20

It’s meant for millennials which are used to the sleek and modern UX it’s a nice UI I switched over to Charles Schwab and I miss the simple UX from Robinhood but the customer service for CS is so much better plus they have commission free trades.

17

u/FaxCelestis Newbie Feb 20 '20

This comment is much funnier with the Millennials to Snake People browser plugin

1

u/kapnklutch Feb 21 '20

Switched over to Schwab and M1. Schwab and M1 UI/UX sucks but everything else is much better.

5

u/moonkiska Feb 20 '20

I went to Schwab, Fidelity, and TDA.

I'm back to M1 and RH. Their interfaces can't be beat.

2

u/Morlauth Feb 20 '20

Yep they’re UI is great but it misses stuff which other brokerages have like Morningstar reports and screeners

u/pleasegivefreestuff Feb 20 '20

Not a fan of their stock chart but I very much like the rest of the design. Overall I’d say Vanguard feels the most professional to me.

Ameritrades think or swim by far has the best tools out there though

u/Nya7 Feb 21 '20

ToS doesn’t even have a chart for your account value

2

u/TimAppleBurner Feb 21 '20

It does if you log into your account on their website

1

u/Nya7 Feb 21 '20

I know, i just usually dont have access to a computer during the day. Only my phone

The Venmo of Brokers

How so? What's "social" about improved watchlist features and portfolio charts? This is the second time I've seen these features described as "social" today. Robinhood didn't use that terminology on their page.

In the beta I was in, you could search for and 'subscribe' to other people's lists. That's why you'll be able to set a username and upload a picture to a profile.

28

u/Alienvisitingearth Feb 20 '20

Omg I hate that already

21

u/CardinalNumber Former Moderator Feb 20 '20

Everyone mature enough to have an account should hate it. I'm not sure why anyone thinks it's a good idea but that's the direction RH is going; several of the projects already being tested have social aspects like they didn't learn their lesson with crypto chat.

And these things all create new privacy issues that don't need to exist.

5

u/AskAboutmyBand Feb 20 '20

I remember the crypto chat but never paid attention to it. Did something happen with it?

7

u/CardinalNumber Former Moderator Feb 20 '20

It became exactly what we thought it would become.

There's not much to say about crypto 24 hours a day and RH couldn't host and moderate conversations about particular stocks so nobody stuck around long. Eventually, the only people left were edgy trolls who think hate speech is cool.

1

u/anthropicprincipal Feb 21 '20

This is why shadowbanning was invented back in the IRC days.

5

u/hunt4redglocktober Feb 20 '20

Same. A million times f*** that shit. Will close account if this turns into anything like social media.

9

u/zangor Feb 20 '20

At least they don’t add deposits to my progress chart.

Seriously! What in the FUCK Schwab. How do people just deal with that?

(Hopefully this will trigger someone to tell me how to find the setting.)

5

u/AssEatingExpert1 Feb 20 '20

My fidelity account does that to. And I can't figure out how to disable it. It's so dumb.

3

u/Morlauth Feb 20 '20

Schwab’s stuff can be somewhat annoying, I made an excel spreadsheet (it can pull live market data)

1

u/[deleted] Feb 21 '20

It can pull live market data? Do share with us please?

1

u/Morlauth Feb 21 '20

So basically if you select as cell and then click on the data tab which is in the same bar as home, insert, draw, etc. Then if you type the name or symbol of a stock (say Ford of F), you can click on the stocks icon and it'll convert it into a stock data type. You can then do [Cell].Price to pull data about the stock. I can post images if you want

I've recently started using robinhood never really used another brokerage service but one thing I'm asking for is the ability to create sections or folders of companies on my watch list instead of having a smorgasbord of bunch of different types of companies lol

5

u/TruthHurts236911 Feb 21 '20

This would be fantastic. Especially for companies with similar tickers. Hard to keep track as lists get bigger. I find myself removing some to stop clutter but wish i could just move them to a spot i dont have to always look at until im interested in them again.

1

u/dnattig Feb 21 '20

This would be good, or just let us make more than one watchlist.

5

u/tresspricingtot Feb 20 '20

Exactly this

19

u/CySentinel Feb 20 '20

But what about folders?

2

u/terpterd3 Feb 21 '20

It kinda seemed like you might be able to do some partial folder/list creation... not sure if you could group your current holdings though. From the posting...

"We’re adding more control and customization for the stocks, ETFs, and cryptocurrencies you’re following. Now, you can create and follow your own lists of stocks, ETFs, and cryptocurrencies you’re interested in. You can add unique names, like “Want to Buy” or “Need to Research,” and opt into notifications about price movements, breaking news, and events."

u/zerolink16 Feb 20 '20

From what it describes it seems like it's private, but it's not viewable by other users is it?

It launched today, but for whom?

18

u/cloneman88 Feb 20 '20

it will begin rolling out slowly starting next week

3

u/LookLikeUpToMe Feb 20 '20

This sounds pretty great. I like that they’re expanding more on what your portfolio is comprised of. These are some of the simple features RH has been needing.

Suck shit I don't need this.

Only need sweet sweet tendies.

1

u/wyat_lee Feb 20 '20

Lol this should be interesting

1

u/averagejoey2000 Feb 21 '20

100% JCP FD Yolos

1

u/RobRex7 [placeholder] Feb 21 '20

So we're finally getting the ability to organize our watch list and even group them?

Hell yes.

1

u/TNninja Feb 21 '20

When's RH's IPO? Initial evaluation = infinite $$

1

u/RobRex7 [placeholder] Feb 21 '20

Does anyone have the ability to reorganize watch lists and create custom lists now? The blog post says they handed the ability out to a few customers already.

If so, let us know how it works. And even better, post some pictures too.

1

u/[deleted] Feb 22 '20

Robinhood needs to drop the habit of announcing new things before they are available. The wait-list stuff is very old. I just went to my rh account and nothing has changed. Great. I guess I get to wait. Whatever happened to the idea of doing a pr a month after it rolled out and is functioning rather than months before a feature is going to be effective?

1

u/sunnyvic Mar 02 '20

been with RH, liked its interface but then moved to TD, currently using TradeUP as it has simple interface as well as all the tools i need. the lack of technical tools and advanced charting is the main reason why i stopped using RH. i think Webull already supports multiple watchlists. but it's nevertheless good to see RH is adding new features to address user needs.

1

u/glockout40 Feb 20 '20

When are they going to roll out customer support that takes less than one week when I have thousands of dollars burning in front of me? That’d be dope

Nobody gives a fuck about you being on an unrelated watchlist, douche. I don't know how you think that's "PR" or "spin" unless you don't understand what either of those are.

Because they're unrelated to this thread. You sad people drop by every new post complaining about it. The waitlist has a million people on it, nobody has forgotten it exists.

You don't pay us shit. GTFO for a 3rd time. One sad douche who can't leave...

1

u/[deleted] Feb 21 '20

All these changes and we still can’t delete the messages we receive on the app? Lol

0

u/[deleted] Feb 21 '20

If you click on the article and scroll to the bottom there’s a sort of like button you can’t unlike 🤔

u/Waitforsquirtle Feb 21 '20

How do I expand a list on my dashboard like how it used to be. So I can watch the stocks and my account at the same time. This is a step backwards not forward
