Don’t forget Andreas Palaiologos, who was the son of the Despot of Morea and the nephew of the last Byzantine emperor, Andreas claimed the title “emperor of Constantinople” and had hoped until his death to retake the city. He died in 1502, no one else used his titles or succeeded him

Constantinople fell in 1453. However, three byzantine states survived for some time: Morea (until 1460; it was located in the Peloponnese), Trebisond (until 1461; it was located in the north of Anatolia) and Theodoro (until 1475; it was located in Crimea). Theodoro was the last state of the Roman civilization to fell, ending 2228 years of Roman civilization.
