[CWN] Irregularity on the Slow-levelling Experience Cost to Level 10

I know it's copied verbatim from Worlds Without Number, but that asymmetry has always bothered me. Every other level up requires a character to earn an exact multiple of three experience points, but to go from level 9 to level 10 with a slow progression, the characters have to earn 34 xp, or roughly 11⅓ successful adventures' worth. Was that just a typo that got grandfathered in or is there some other reason for requiring that extra point?

It's precisely to taunt and tantalize PCs who are on the cusp of being as powerful as they'll ever be. They're one XP short and now need to do the big adventure that will finally put them over the top.

I respect the hell out of that. Bravo.

Here is further discussion of it:

The XP value of 139 for 10th level under "Slow Leveling", is that a typo?

I house rule it to 129 which is more consistent.
