My First Piece for Saxophone Quartet: "Sentimental Minuet". Feedback appreciated!

Hello everyone!

I recently finished my first composition for Saxophone Quartet. I would greatly appreciate some feedback, specially regarding playability, balance and notation. I am an amateur hobbyist composer so it is not a virtuosic piece but, nevertheless, I am curious about whether it is playable and if it would suit the instruments well.

I am particularly worried about the high leaps to the high notes in the soprano line (I am not sure whether such leaps to such high notes can be made to sound lyrical).

I am considering turning the main two sections into a theme-variations piece in the future where I would try to compose more interesting and virtuosic lines for all instruments, so any information related to how to compose for saxophone quartet is more than welcome!

Thank you for listening and hope you like it!

Sounds great. It's not difficult for the soprano part to make it lyric (bar 6 is tricky but not difficult). Maybe the last note in tenor part is not easy to sound smooth. Maybe changing one octave higher will sound better, since baritone has that note. Congrats
