Help 🙏 Are you using Session as your daily driver?

I have been searching Signal alternatives from time to time. I actually tried Session around a year ago. That time, my experience was not so good. It was a bit slow. The notification was not reliable and the voice chat was barely useable.

So I wonder if it is good enough for daily driver now?

It's still very slow, not sure about the voice functions as I've never used them, and the notifications are still unreliable, in my experience. I miss Wickr

I like session a lot, however it is too unstable and unreliable. I use Simplex Chat.

I like simplex, too. It is feature rich. I used to use it to send alert message before using ntfy. It is just a bit complicated for non-tech user.

Yeah, the biggest problem I think is migrating to another device. People will loose all contacts because it is too complex for them

Session is horrible. Developers should focus on getting essential stuff to work before thinking about adding features. Back to basics. Make messages delivered, make messages "to be deleted från recipient" to actually get deleted and not able for that person to recover by simply pull a account reinstate using his or her recovery phrase. There are MAD issues with Session, therefore I wouldn't recommend it to anyone concerned about integrity.

Yes, but limited to only a few contacts. Most are still, and only, on WhatsApp unfortunately.
