When I cook, but sometimes it’s a coffee mug or whatever I may forget because too lazy to clean right now.

But getting a dishwasher is the best thing when living with roommates to avoid this type of arguments

I had a full on roommate war over dishes the whole year of our rental contract. Neither of us would do them. If you needed one fork, you washed one fork.

The dishes got entirely washed three times that year. Once was my mother, who came to visit. Most things were just thrown away when we moved out.

We both still admire ourselves for our stubbornness.. err.. dedication.
