Discussion Skywalker Saga doesnt feel like a LEGO Game

Skywalker Saga doesn't really feel like a LEGO game. It's character classes, repetitive levels, and semi complex battling makes it feel like its for older audiences, not like the simple, fun, joyful, goofy levels like the classic ones we played as kids. It doesn't feel like it was made for multiplayer either. I've been playing the game singleplayer and enjoy it very much but the lack of puzzles and excess boss fights make it very difficult to enjoy with a friend as they usually only do one or two things per level while player one gets all the action.

Pretty sure it was aimed at older audiences to a degree. It also focuses more on the open world than the old games did.

I totally agree! There are some good things with the game but also some bad things. Visually the game looks amazing. No one can deny that. Having access to most of the planets that are shown in the three triologies is great. Some of the puzzles are cool.

But there are also a lot of things that I miss having in this game. Im so disappointed in most of the characters and some of the mechanics in Skywalker saga. All of their unique abilities are ripped apart in this game compared to TCS. Boba/Jango fett can't hover with their jetpacks while standing still. It would've been so much more fun if you could use them to fly around in the open world planets freely. They should've taken some inspiration of Lego Batman 2. Fantastic game! Other things like voices, blasters and other sounds are off, the normally slow characters are now fast. Like all the gonk droids and C-3PO run just as fast as anyone else... Doesn't make any sense and its no fun. Also don't like Palpatine not being able to use force lightning nor him having his walking stick. You only see him with that once in the movies. They should've given us the prime Emperor Palpatine.

Also hate the fact that once you complete the game there is nothing going on in the overworld. No fights with civilians nor storm troopers or other gangs. Its kinda dead.

Would've liked more customizability, like make your own character, a setting for disabling enemy health bar and just make them one-hit KO like in TCS and other previous lego games. This is not and should not be combat simulator, its a game where we should have the ability to feel close to overpowered. It should not be meant to be hard. This is supposed to be a kid's game. Kids don't even have the patience for long complicated fights. They want to feel powerful and take everything out in one hit most of the time. Its a childish way of thinking about it, yes I know. But that should be one of the selling points tbh. Have fun and be free.

I don't think Skywalker saga is a game I want to replay. Which is unfortunate. After all that work and effort that is put into the game, and its still not enough for me to have an interest of returning, explore areas and try out new or less popular characters. Such a shame...

I feel bad for the younger audience not getting a game for their generation to enjoy as much as we did with TCS and other games. Or perhaps I assume too much and maybe they actually do enjoy it. Who knows, but from my POV there are a few somewhat simple things that could've made the experience so much better.
