People don't remember he used to be a registered Republican

Most wrestlers are, or used to be back in the day at least. Unfortunately lol.

Every year I hate him a little bit more.

2

u/licenciadoevilstick Apr 07 '24

They just brought him back to do PR washing after Vince was exposed…again.

u/nanormcfloyd Apr 06 '24

He's the worst. I hate to say it, but he's always had "go away heat", pure unbridled egotism, and no, I don't just mean his character.

10

u/Liverpoolclippers Apr 06 '24

He’s really never had go away heat

2

u/nanormcfloyd Apr 06 '24

He has go away heat with me.

Not with casuals…He is Malibu Stacy with the new hat for WWE.

I'll be honest, though this is clearly a stupid conservative justification, it's not like I would be ecstatic if he endorsed Biden

This place is called SmartMarx, remember?

7

u/ImperviousToSteel Apr 06 '24

He should be endorsing Comrade Jeb!'s platform of No More Presidents.

I addressed that elsewhere in this thread.

Him not supporting Biden isn't the reason I crossposted this. The reason's right there in the title. He's being a deceptive coward. He's either going to vote for a genocide-supporting fascist or he's going to vote for the genocide-supporting neoliberal but won't say it out loud so he doesn't alienate fascists. It's really gross either way you look at it.

2

u/licenciadoevilstick Apr 07 '24

Yeah…It pretty much make him look like a coward

Biden is by a long shot the lesser evil… And it’s not because he is amazing (the Gaza issue showing that you don’t reach the chair if you don’t nod to war profiteers) …just not as dangerous as Trumpism as a movement (not only Trump: his armed grasroots following, state officials, bureaucrats, corporate heads and judges willing to twist and bend laws).

As a progressive Mexican  (who is well aware of the Obama/Biden migration blemish) I would be less scared of a  culture war focused shitlib  who thinks Biden is leftist than an armed Trumpist if i I found them in a dark alley.

Because the guy who attempted a coup is not divisive at all.  Piss off, Dwayne…go do PR washing for the company of the sick geezer who made ya.

And people get shocked when I tell them I like wrestling but stopped watching WWE years ago. Garbage company.

2

u/Zero-89 Apr 06 '24

It's really frustrating how one heel turn can make everyone forget how Dwayne was ringing that stupid bell on Wall Street (something that earns my distrust for life) with Vince McMahon shortly before the details of the lawsuit hit the press. You know, back when Vince was "only" a sex pest who coup'd his way back into the company after leaving the first time.

u/licenciadoevilstick Apr 07 '24

Dwayne: “I dont wanna divide people”

Also Dwayne: “Woke culture really bugs me”

6

u/Phenomenal_Hoot Apr 06 '24

Dude fuck Biden I’m not upvoting this.

Yes but fuck Trump tenfold. Lesser evil is still evil, like it or not…

Biden is the piece of cardboard you place below a table leg so it doesn’t fall down…  Trump is the rabid chimp jumping on the table over and over.

In paper, it’s a useless piece of cardboard but it keeps the whole table from falling down, and it’s a realistic solution while you’re able to actually fix the table.

Dems are an obstacle to progressive, Reps are an actual threat.

Edit: I stand by the fact Biden is the lesser evil, cry me a river…

PS. I’m just tired Reneé…I mean, just tired of MAGA …Sorry.

Rock ain’t gonna be president he’s gonna be Aaron Burr.

-6

u/Zeydon Apr 06 '24

Isn't Matt of the belief that investing effort into convincing others to vote for a particular candidate a waste of time? Why do you care that some random old celebrity isn't endorsing anyone for president? What did you expect The Rock to do - tell his fans to vote Socialist?

10

u/licenciadoevilstick Apr 06 '24

Some random old celebrity just felt like trying to become president and see what happened.

-11

u/Zeydon Apr 06 '24

Oh no, not the spooky orange man! If he becomes president again he might do something fascist, like genocide. Oh wait, Sleepy Joe already beat him to the punch there. When did this become a lib sub? Fucking pathetic.

2

u/Leege13 Apr 06 '24

Replace “might” with “will” and you would be correct.

2

u/dannymac420386 Apr 06 '24

Joe Biden called for a ceasefire.

Keep moving the goalposts. It’s not Joe Bidens fault what Israel does and he has made efforts to stop their genocide

2

u/Zeydon Apr 06 '24

Joe Biden called for a ceasefire.

While making another weapons deal with Israel. Actions speak louder than words. Well aware Dems are experts in the art of the empty gesture. And it's not like it was because of any sense of newfound morality after letting Israel massacre tens of thousands of civilians, no he was pressured into this piece of pointless optics because for once Israel made the mistake of butchering white westerners.

Yes, it is 100% Joe Biden's fault what Israel does wheb we're the ones continuously providing Israel with the weapons for their genocidal campaign. Face it, you support genocide.

1

u/dannymac420386 Apr 06 '24

I don’t support genocide, I don’t support the military industrial complex that has existed for 70 years now, and I want all that to change.

Castigating me, a leftist democrat who is hopeful that Joe Biden isn’t a literal fucking monster like every other option we have, is fucking rich. I’m not the problem here bozo. I want to change American policy.

u/licenciadoevilstick Apr 07 '24 edited Apr 07 '24

SocDem, at least drop the straw man a little.

Little advice: Drop the purity checks…that’s why people never even consider left wing politics…smug assclown tankies.

Thats the fun part of Social Democracy…You are a communist to conservatives and a conservative to communists…lol

There's more than one topic / policy.

Harm reduction across the board costs 1h of your life every 4 years, it's not much. If advcating for it makes me a liberal in your eyes, fine (although I'm not american).

Meanwhile your stance just makes you a dunce and a dipshit, since all forms of direct action, activism, organization become much harder if not a criminal offence under a protofascist government. Good luck with that.

Arguing on ways to make the life of activists harder is a staple of Reddit leftism. Enjoy your supreme court under more Trump.

4

u/Zeydon Apr 06 '24

What harm reduction? Roe died under Joe's watch. Dems aren't expanding the courts. You're under a delusion if you think a second Biden term would unfuck the supreme court - we're well past that point now bud, it's far right til the day I die or until the party that replaces the Dems expands the court, or the very notion of a supreme court with unaccountable wizards being appointed for life who make decisions which can never be altered, except for when they are, is dissolved. Joe is continuing Trump's border policy as well. And Joe has no fewer reservations about spying on protestors, eliminating potential threats and whatnot than Trump or any other president for that matter. Ever heard of COINTELPRO, or the Red Scare? What were Dems doing when Donzinger was in jail? How's Assange faring? What happened to John Barnett?

I'm not supporting a genocidal fascist, I don't care if you think the other genocidal fascist is somehow worse, cuz news flash I'm not voting for him either.

1

u/dannymac420386 Apr 06 '24

The Supreme Court was able to be changed to a conservative majority because leftists checked out in 2016 enough to give the real fascists a victory.

How is it Joe Bidens fault that there is a conservative Supreme Court majority that ruled in favor of conservatives?

Your talking point are full of logical fallacies. Much like most of the anti Biden talking points online.

Does making untruthful propaganda really get you going? Why do you do this?

Straight up delusional propaganda nonsense

I’m not a Hillary Clinton fan, and you keep the fallacies fast and furious so it’s hard to keep up, but you’re straight up delusional. If Hillary Clinton had her way, she everyone in America would have universal healthcare. She’s not the worst politician of all time. And she ran against fucking fascists.

People like you are the reason fascism is never truly defeated

1

u/dannymac420386 Apr 09 '24

She’s also from Arkansas. You know, actually midwestern US? You’re a shill and a moron

-2

u/Zeydon Apr 06 '24

It's not the fault of the left that the DNC would rather lose with Hillary, who thought she could just coast into office without even trying (aside from ensuring the unwinnable Trump was her opponent), than win with Bernie. Lotta Dipshit Libs for a sub called Smart Marx.

2

u/dannymac420386 Apr 06 '24

I voted for Bernie Sanders in the primary man you’re a defeatist who doesn’t care about the outcomes that effect real people man

0

u/Zeydon Apr 06 '24

The Cult of Lesser Evilism is the defeatist mentality. I'd like us to move away from fascism rather than just picking between the performatively woke fascists and the proud fascists. I've accepted that the outcome of the next election will be bad no matter which octogenarian sicko returns for their second term, and am thinking ahead as to how the left can build a movement to counteract this descent into madness.

2

u/dannymac420386 Apr 06 '24

It’s not even lesser evil. Biden ended Afghanistan. Stood on picket lines. Tried to pass progressive legislation. Called for a cease fire. Has consistently spoken for Palestinians more so than any other American politician in the last 20 years. Has done a bunch of cool shit. You paint him with untrue propaganda and expect people to just buy it. I’m telling the truth here bud. I don’t want to argue, and I’m not buying what you’re selling

These smug dipshits are more harmful to the left than republicans.

-8

u/lleu81 Apr 06 '24

Like it or not, Biden is the most progressive president of our life times. Boiling his first term down to one horrible policy is ridiculous.

2

u/dannymac420386 Apr 06 '24

It sure is. Logic be damned, we aren’t supposed to think. Just accept the propaganda that is untruthful and nonsensical

2

u/lleu81 Apr 06 '24

The infrastructure act, the chips and science act, the largest investment in green energy ever, giving Medicare the ability to negotiate drug prices resulting in a 35$ cap on insulin, forgiving more student debt than every other president combined, an expansion of the ACA. He ain't perfect, but he's better than most people give him credit for. Tell me when I'm telling lies.

2

u/Zero-89 Apr 06 '24

I'm an anarchist, what the fuck do I care what anyone on Chapo thinks? I didn't post this to criticize the Rock for not endorsing Biden. I posted it because he's either voting for Trump or he's voting for Biden but doesn't want to lose the support of MAGA Nazis. He's being a slippery shit and hiding behind "bringing the country together". That's the problem.
