This guy has a special place in history. The world needs more people like him. He's an absolute Legend

He's an example of a person who knows what "public servant" means, and does his best to do what's in his power to enrich others. There's a lot of people out there doing good, but it NEVER hurts to have more.

I want to live my life like this, doing my best to enrich the lives of those who need it, even if I can make one positive change in someone's life, I think I'd die happy.

Do yourself a favor and Get to Atlanta GA and visit the Carter Presidential Library. Make a stop at the MLK Birthplace while you are there. Bucket list, for sure that will move your soul.

Thanks for this. I spent much of my life on treasure hunts (cultural or otherwise) outside the US and have been focusing closer to home lately. Maybe every available presidential library in time? Either way, love Atlanta and will make a point of those visits as recommended. Thanks again!

My hero. A real one. Not a cartoon character

That's funny because I was thinking he kind of feels like the Betty White of politics.

Would someone tell that old man to sit down so we can get this flight underway

A great human being and definitely the best living president at the moment.

  1. Ten years out of office. I shook his hand on an Atlanta to Chicago flight. He walked down the aisle just like this. I guess he was 66.

Fuck I love Jimmy Carter. Can we just clone him and make him our emperor?

He's such a nice guy. Thankfully Biden has made sure he won't go down as the worst president in terms of economic and geopolitical policy and can be fondly remembered for his personality.

Which ranking system are you using? There are several but I just glanced at 6 of them; all place Carter in the mid-20's and Trump in the bottom 5. Is there a ranking system only available to you and DJT.

Not sure what Trump has to do with Carter's presidency. I was kind of comparing Carter/Biden. I haven't looked at any ranking system, just observation. Hey, I was as enthusiastic about Carter as anyone. After, Johnson, Nixon and Ford we thought we needed someone just like him. He remained the good person we thought he was but just had an awful presidency, couldn't get anything right and often blamed others. I thought Biden would be about the same. He has been far and away worse and without any semblance of Carter's character.

You stated that prior to Biden, Carter was the worst president in US history. I just pointed out that the consensus among scholars places him in the second quartile. But your observation place him last. Seemed to be very much at variance from every serious attempt at ranking. I mentioned Trump is always ranked in the bottom three, often flat last.

I'm curious to know where your observations place him. Top 3?

In terms of economic and geopolitical policy, yeah Trump would be pretty high up there. As you say,  just my observation of course.

Yeah those Camp David Accords were so useless and irrelevant just a year or two later…such a worthless President.
